Take Me Out To The Ballgame Or Out for Pizza? How sharing a pizza models consent in personal relationships and in leadership better than running the bases.

Have you ever wanted to hook-up or just make it past second base? Or would you rather hit up the snack bar and grab a pizza? This interactive workshop break down “baseball” and “pizza” metaphors to explain where in relationships and in leadership we can maximize consent and engagement and where we miss opportunities to include others. Participants will learn how to develop a culture of consent within student organizations and among their personal friendships and intimate relationships. Workshop leaders will acknowledge diverse and inclusive expressions of relationships, both intimate and otherwise. The concept of C.L.E.A.R. Consent (Capacitated, Listening, Every Act. Every Time, Affirmative, Reciprocal & Retractable) will be taught, and applied to both organizational leadership and interpersonal relationships. Students will role-play how to negotiate pizza toppings in order to practice listening, speaking up, boundary setting, and building trust. Additionally, this workshop will define sexual health and share tips for healthy relationship & sexual communication. Students will be equipped to identify resources available on and off campus to maintain sexual health and support those who have experienced relationship violence.
