Building Bridges: Utilizing Awareness of Self and Others to Foster Effective Communication

Student Health, Wellness, and Counseling Peer Wellness Advocate (PWA) student assistants would like to present an educational session on the implementation and benefits of constructive feedback and healthy professional boundaries in leadership roles. This interactive session will focus on establishing and maintaining a supportive line of professional communication and interaction that encourages individual growth and team building. Participants will have the opportunity to explore forms of constructive communication that enable them to be issuers and receivers of constructive feedback while fostering awareness of themselves and others. They will identify communication strategies for improving collaboration through empathy and will understand interpersonal effectiveness skills with an emphasis on mindfulness and healthy professional boundaries.
