Mission
Sigma Kappa initiated members and new members have a responsibility to the sorority and should protect its reputation. Initiation into Sigma Kappa grants each member with an honor and responsibility. Each member must keep in mind the vows taken at initiation and strive to be faithful to those vows. Members of Sigma Kappa have an obligation to the national organization, sorority chapter, university, community, fellow members, and herself. It proudly denotes one who is spiritually sincere, morally conscious, and financially responsible. As Sigma Kappa women, we are responsible for representing our chapter’s values and high ideals for achievement, as well as that of our neighbors, friends, family, and community. Good manners and proper behavior are essential in a sorority and everyday interaction.
