In past years, Take Back the Night was an annual march through campus to empower survivors and advocate for an end to sexual violence. Take Back the Night started as a protest in March of 1972, when women began marching on their campuses together in an organized and intentional manner, demanding a less violent future. This year, at Sac State, ALL members of the campus community are invited to decorate and sign a pledge to contribute to a safe and respectful campus. Pledges, in the shape of stars, will be on display in the Union Lobby on April 30th, to conclude Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). For more info on SAAM activities and events, or to find out where you can sign the pledge, go to https://www.csus.edu/student-life/health-counseling/spotlights/sexual-assault-awareness-month.html

To request reasonable accommodations, contact Nan Fitzpatrick at 916-278-2749 or nan.fitzpatrick@csus.edu by April 13, 2026.
