ObjectivesOur mission is to be an inclusive organization on campus--welcoming Muslims and non-Muslims. We strive to educate about Islam, countering misconceptions about the religion, and propagate Islam with utmost clarity. We aim to cultivate an environment where Muslims can come together in a supportive manner and pursue their education, while getting closer to God.We recognize that students are at varying levels in their faith. We are welcoming to all, regardless of the extent of one's religious knowledge or determination.More objectives Furthermore, the MSA aims to:Increase Islamic Awareness on the CSUS campus.Promote unity and joint action among Muslims.Conduct religious, cultural, and social activities in the best traditions of Islam.Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims.Take part in important events in society or be vocal about them. Islam ordained its followers to be just and stand up against injustice, whether in the civic realm or elsewhere.Team up with different entities on and off campus to address specific issues, regardless of whether it directly affects the Muslim population or not and even if there are idealogical differences with those groups, as this would be an endorsement of the cause and not necessarily the group.Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims.Help Muslim students at CSUS to achieve their educational goals in an Islamic environment during their stay at the university.Encourage active Muslim and Non-Muslim membership.
