About Us
We as founding mothers of Mujeres Ayudando La Raza (M.A.R), in accordance with California State University, Sacramento, have established this non-profit organization for the purpose of creating a network of support for Chicanx/Latinx students. Our objective is to promote academic excellence by aiding in the retention of our members in the University. Mujeres Ayudando La Raza is committed to the welfare of Chicanx and Latinx in the community as well as the Chicanx/Latinx population as a whole. Through our community involvement, we strongly encourage awareness of culture and heritage. Simultaneously, we emphasize the diversity that exists within the University and the community. As members, we strive to uphold these goals to the best of our abilities.
