Mission
As the representative organization of the Democratic Party at California StateÂ University, Sacramento, the goal of the College Democrats at Sacramento State isÂ to further the ideas and ideals of the Democratic Party. We vow to uphold theÂ Democratic principles of freedom, social justice, equality, and promote the formation of a society which extends those principles to all, regardless of race, sex, ethnicity, national origin, religion, physical handicap, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Furthermore, we seek to increase the involvement of students in the political process by raising awareness of the values and mission of the Democratic Party and by facilitating their direct involvement. It is for this reason and upon these ideals which we establish the College Democrats at Sacramento State.
