Mission Global Medical Brigades is a student-led organization that implements a holistic model to achieve the health and economic goals of rural communities in Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, Ghana, Belize, and Greece. In collaboration with other GB Chapters at various universities, our Chapter engages in year-round recruitment and fundraising events, which culminate in our participation in a 7-9 day brigade. During this time, we actively contribute to programming and volunteering efforts, directly impacting the communities we serve.
Membership BenefitsStudents have the opportunity to volunteer in rural clinics, where they gain shadowing experience and support healthcare professionals in providing care to underserved communities. Through these experiences, members gain a deeper understanding of global health disparities while developing leadership and teamwork skills. The club also fosters a supportive community of students with shared interests in healthcare and service, helping them grow both personally and professionally. Additionally, students can make a meaningful impact around the world while preparing for future careers in the healthcare field.
